Overview
It is possible Full Administrators to copy guests from one event to another within Guest Management.
This feature is useful if you need to register guests for additional events but do not want them to have to submit another registration.
When copying guests you can choose to copy them as Registered, Admin Approved or, if you do wish to invite them again, as Not Yet Invited.
Process to copy guests
To be able to copy guests to another event, an approved ticket request must exist against a user account on the system with enough places remaining.
To initiate the copy process, select the guests to copy in Guest Management and click the Copy Guests button on the toolbar.
A window will pop-up to choose the options:
- Event - lists all future events
- Ticket type - lists all ticket types against the chosen event with active allocations
- Request - lists all ticket requests with any tickets remaining
- Guest status - the guest status that you wish to set on the destination request (registered, not yet invited or admin approved)
Click Copy Guests to complete the process. After copying, you will be able to choose to remain on the original (source) event or switch to the destination event.
Notes on usage
- Guests can be copied from any guest status. For example, you could copy registered guests if you want to register them for an extra event; or you could copy released or cancelled guests if you want to offer them an alternative event.
- You will only be able to copy the selected guests if there are enough places available on the destination request. For example, if you have selected 6 guests to copy, there will need to be at least 6 remaining places on the selected request.
- This feature is not available to Guest Administrators due to the permissions required to access ticket requests. The Copy Guests button is not visible to this user role.
