E-tickets are a quick and secure method of admitting large numbers of guests to your event. They can be issued to guests via email and scanned upon entry using a mobile device equipped with the Sponsorworks Event App.
Emailing e-tickets to guests
Primary guests
QR code e-tickets can be issued to primary guests via the Guest Invitation Accepted email template. This email template is sent to guests when they complete their registration.
The merge tag that is required to be added to the template is: ${guestqrcode}
When the merge tag is present, it will be replaced with a secure QR code at sending time.
If you wish to issue e-tickets for all events, then you should add the merge tag to the company-wide template (via Settings > Emails > Guest Management Templates).
If you wish to issue e-tickets for a single event or occasional events, then it is safer to leave the master and create a custom email template at event level (Edit Event > Guest Management tab > Custom Guest Emails > Enable custom guest invitation accepted emails for this event).
Additional guests
If you are using the Additional Guests workflow and auto-registering those guests, you will also need to add the ${guestqrcode} merge tag to the Additional Guest Auto Registration template.
Example email template for issuing e-tickets
We have created an example Guest Invitation Accepted email template for issuing etickets, including all relevant merge tags. You can style and adapt this template as required. We recommend you fun an end to end test invitation process before you launch your eticketing.

Not seeing a QR code above? Sometimes it can take a few seconds to load on your device. If your ticket does not load, don't worry, we can do a manual check-in. Simply present this email to our event staff on arrival.
Sending third party e-tickets
If you need to issue third party e-tickets via the platform (i.e. e-tickets issued from other systems as PDFs), this can be achieved via a custom loading of a batch of tickets. Please contact the Sponsorworks Helpdesk for assistance.
