Overview
By default the Sponsorworks platform will allow guests to edit their own registrations after they have initially registered for an event, reducing the burden on the central admin team to manage registration details.
Set-Up
The setting must be ticked on the event level to allow guests to edit their registrations. This setting is automatically enabled on new events.
To change this setting, click into edit your event and head to the 'Guest Pages' tab, where you will find the 'Enable guests to amend registration up to cut off date'
We recommend adding a button into your Guest Invitation Accepted email template which allows your guests to access the page to edit their details. Do this using the ${guestportallink} support tag.
Guest Flow
1. Once guests have registered for an event, they can access their registration portal via their Guest Invitation Accepted email If the ${guestportallink} supported tag is being used in your template.
2. After entering the portal, they can click the 'edit registration' button to edit their own registration.
3. If additional guest registration workflows are enabled and the main guest has registered someone for the event, they can edit their guest's registration by clicking on their name.
4. The platform will pre-populate their initial answers, and the guest can make their amendments before saving.
5. Upon saving, the guest will receive a new Guest Invitation Accepted email.
