Overview: Sub-categories can be created within categories to further organise events, non-ticket assets, or related content.
Sub-categories are often used when there are multiple asset types associated with a partnership, this can include tickets and hospitality, stadium tours, media appearances, or merchandise.
Content-only categories can also be created to house FAQ or Help information related to the assets within the category.
How to: To add a new Sub-Category, navigate to the category where the Sub-Category will be added. (Please note that sub-categories cannot be created within sub-categories.)
Select 'Add a Sub-Category', as indicated in the screenshot below.
Here are the settings available when creating or managing a Sub-Category in the platform. Each option is described in detail below.
Name
- Description: Enter a name for the category. This name will be visible to users and is essential for identifying the category in the system.
Description
- Description: Provide a description of the category. You can use the rich text editor to format the text, add images, or insert links.
Category Type
- Description: Select the type of content this category will include. Depending on the selection, the category will behave differently in terms of what users can expect to find.
- Options:
- Events with Tickets + Content: For tickets and hospitality assets, select this option. This category will contain events that include both tickets and related content.
- Other Assets + Content: This category will contain other types of assets along with content. It is for stock / quantities and do not require a specific date or venue for the asset.
- Content Only: This category will only contain content without events.
Event Reminder Emails
- Description: Enable this option to send reminder emails to users who have requested notifications. You can specify the number of days before the event when the reminder should be sent.
User Feedback
- Description: Enable this option to allow users to provide feedback on events within this category. User feedback can help improve future events.
Guest Feedback
- Description: Enable this option to allow guest users to provide feedback for events in this category. Note that this can be overridden at the event level.
Pre-Event Email
- Description: If this option is enabled, pre-event emails will be sent a certain number of days before events in this category. You can specify the number of days. A link is available to view and edit the email template used.
